7th Social Studies

I graduated from Illinois State University in 2009 with a Bachelors in History Education. In 2014, I obtained my endorsement to teach Special Education from the University of St. Francis.

I started my career at Manteno Middle School in 2013-14 as a Substitute Teacher and Paraprofessional. In 2014-15 I was hired as an 8th grade Resource teacher. The following school year I was asked to teach 7th grade Social students.

I am a former resident of New Lenox and graduate from Lincoln-Way Central High School. There I met my high school sweetheart, later becoming my wife. We both shared the same passion for teaching and were fortunate enough to attend the same college together. My wife currently teaches Chemistry and Physics at Bradley-Bourbonnais High School.

We moved to Manteno in 2013 and are very proud to be residents of this great community. As of January 2017 we had our first child, Tabitha. It has been an exciting journey, thus far, watching her develop into a happy and curious little baby. In April of 2018 we had our Second child, Theodore.

I always enjoyed learning about the past. I find it fascinating how our culture, ideas, and technology have evolved into what it is today! I hope to use my excitement and enthusiasm to make Social Studies interesting and relevant to my students as they expand their knowledge and thinking on the past, present, and future.
