Manteno Middle School houses 670 students in grades 5-8.  Students in 5th grade follow a traditional self-contained classroom model, with specialized instruction in general music, beginning band, art, and physical education.  Students in 6th. 7th, and 8th grades follow a unique middle school scheduling model called "Inter-Disciplinary Flex Block".
